With a long history and obsession with baking and all things food, in May of 2008, after dabbling in cupcakes for the past year or so, good friends (and loyal taste testers!) asked me to make their wedding cake.

Flattered, I turned them down advising they get ‘a real cake’. 

After not taking no for an answer, a wedding cake I produced and when I overheard one of their guests explaining she “could just make love to this frosting” … I knew I had to continue.

“It has been over a year since our wedding and still I am being asked about “those cupcakes!” In fact, from all the fantastic food on offer at the venue everything has been forgotten but “those cupcakes!” not a single one survived, the only complaint I have. I have had cupcakes since and have been continually disappointed, you really need to try these to believe the difference.”
